Manifold Systems

1000ltr insulated stainless steel storage tanks with heat exchange coils. 

Titanium heat exchangers.

  • One or multiple manifolds can be coupled with 1,000L stainless steel storage tanks

Each 1000ltr stainless steelsolarhot water storage tank comes with 3 x 40mtr 3/4'' submerged copper coils. The three coils enables many options to either heat the storage tank or extract the heat from the tank. The water in the storage tank is separate to the water used at the tap. When hot water is needed, cold water intersentersthe top or middle submerged 40 mtr heat exchange coil  and extracts the heat from the stored water instantly and exits the tank hot. Having a low pressure tank means that the system can be connected to a wood fire booster and also elevates the issue of a  PTR valve dumping heat from the tank once it reaches 100Deg C. The excess energy is vented to atmosphere via an open 1'' fitting.  

  • Ideal for agricultural applications such as pre-heating water in dairies and green houses.

CommercialSolarand hydronic hot water can be retro fitted to almost any dairy or nursery as a pre heat to the existing hot water system. The sun's energy is captured by the evacuated tubes, stored in a large tank and then used when hot water is needed. The existing electric or gas system can then top up the heat if needed. 

  • Ideal for heating domestic and commercial swimming pools

Calculating how much each swim cost per year is a frightening exercise. Pump costs, heating costs, maintenance etc. If you have a pool, evacuated tube technology can help lower the running costs but also extend the swimming season.  A pair of 30 tube manifolds can produce almost 5KW per hour and in summer and at that time of year will produce an average of 40-50KWH per day!

If heating a swimming pool using a commercialsolar hot water, the pool water must be separated from the solar heated water due to corrosion from the salt or chlorine. A titanium heat exchanger is used to extract the heat from the solar heated water and pass it into the pool water. Titanium heat exchangers can also be used for heat recoveryfromthe milk chillers in a dairy.

  • "Wet tubes" use the sun's energy to directly heat the water in the tubes.

The solar hot water tubes are full of water and sealed to the storage tank using a triple silicon O-ring. The sun heats the water in the tubes directly then thermosyphons into the storage tank. No need for pumps or controllers.  

Suitable for high frost areas

The evacuated tubes are frost resistant to Negative 30 Deg C.

How it works

  • Heat exchanger.

The 1000ltr tank uses 3 x 40 mtr 20mm copper coils to transfer the heat from the low pressure storage tank to the mains pressure water used in the house. As the water enters the tank through the mains water supply line, it passes through the heat exchanger and extracts the heat instantly. 

  • Low pressure storage.

Having a low pressure storage tank with high pressure heat exchange has many benefits. 

No legionella risk.

Open vented to safely relieve the pressure from the water expanding due to heat.

Low manufacturing costs.


Red Circle Solar uses 1800 x 58mm high quality evacuated tubes with tri coating technology.  Our split system manifolds use these evacuated tubes combined with a heat pipe.
